Ep 5. Times Square

In Nyan Koi season 1 episode 5, titled "Times Square," our protagonist Junpei Kousaka finds himself in the middle of a chaotic situation. It's the day of the school's cultural festival, but Junpei hasn't finished his assigned task - creating a kitty café.

To make matters worse, he accidentally spills coffee on his classmate and crush, Kanako Sumiyoshi, ruining her costume. In an effort to make things right, Junpei offers to help Kanako with her own project - a haunted house.

As they work together, Junpei starts to realize that Kanako may have feelings for him too. But with his cat curse looming over his head, he's not sure if he can allow himself to get close to anyone.

Meanwhile, Junpei's feline friends continue to cause mischief. Nyamsus, a mysterious cat who has been spying on Junpei, confronts him and tries to convince him to help solve a cat-related problem in Times Square. Junpei reluctantly agrees to help, but soon realizes that it might not be as easy as he thought.

During the festival, the haunted house becomes a huge success and Kanako and Junpei become closer than ever. But just as he thinks he might have a chance with her, a sudden turn of events forces him to confront the truth about his curse.

Filled with humor, romance, and a healthy dose of cat antics, Nyan Koi season 1 episode 5 is not to be missed.
