Ep 8. My First Wish

Suzuhara Izumiko, the protagonist of the show, is a shy and secluded girl, who has always felt like she doesn't belong. She possesses a mysterious power that she can't control, which causes electronic devices to malfunction whenever she comes in contact with them. Having been raised in temples and shrines her entire life, she has never been exposed to the outside world. When she is suddenly transferred to a new school, Izumiko finds herself facing new challenges and feelings that she has never experienced before.

In episode 8, titled "My First Wish", Izumiko and Miyuki are still in Tokyo, attending the same school as their friend Mayura. The three of them decide to hang out together and go see a famous shrine that they have been hearing about. On the way there, they meet a young girl named Sakurai, who tells them about a tradition at the shrine where you can make a wish by writing it on a piece of paper and hanging it up on a tree.

When they arrive at the shrine, Izumiko is immediately drawn to the aura of the sacred place and feels a strong connection to it. She decides to make a wish, but is hesitant to reveal it to Miyuki. Meanwhile, Miyuki notices that Sakurai is acting strangely and starts to investigate her past. He discovers that she is a spirit who has been lingering in the human realm for a long time, unable to move on to the afterlife.

As Miyuki delves deeper into Sakurai's story, he learns about the tragic circumstances that led to her premature death and her unfulfilled wish. He decides to help her by granting her wish, which he believes will allow her soul to finally be at peace. Izumiko, who has been struggling with her own wishes and desires, is inspired by Miyuki's selflessness and decides to make a bold move.

In this episode, we see Izumiko and Miyuki continue to grow and develop as characters, as they confront their own personal struggles and face challenges as a team. We also get a glimpse into the spiritual world that exists beyond our own, and the tragic stories of those who have been caught in between. "My First Wish" is a touching and poignant episode that highlights the power of selflessness and the importance of fulfilling our deepest desires.
