In season 2 episode 12 of Shipping Wars, titled "Wings, A Prayer, and a Know-It-All," the shippers face unique challenges as they transport items across the country, competing against each other for the highest profit.
The first shipment, entrusted to Jarrett, involves transporting three airplanes from a small airport in Texas to an airshow in Arizona. Jarrett, who has no experience with airplanes, struggles to secure the planes and navigate the narrow roads of the airport. He also faces a setback when one of the planes turns out to be much larger than he anticipated, causing him to rethink his strategy for loading and securing them. Despite these challenges, Jarrett remains determined to deliver the planes on time and earn a profit.
Meanwhile, Jennifer and Marc face a different kind of challenge as they transport a life-sized statue of a praying angel from a church in New Mexico to a buyer in Kansas. The statue, which weighs over 800 pounds, is fragile and requires special handling to prevent damage. Jennifer and Marc must carefully lift, wrap, and secure the statue in their trailer, taking extra precautions to protect it from bumps and vibrations during transport. Along the way, they also encounter bad weather and a bumpy road, adding to the difficulty of the task.
The final shipment of the episode is assigned to Roy, who must transport a large, cumbersome piece of equipment from Texas to Colorado. The equipment owner, a self-proclaimed "know-it-all," insists on accompanying Roy on the trip, causing tension and frustration for both of them. Roy must navigate complicated directions from the owner and deal with his impatience as they navigate through busy highways and mountainous terrain. Despite the challenges, Roy remains professional and determined to deliver the equipment on time.
Throughout the episode, the shippers show their expertise in handling unique and challenging shipments, all while competing against each other for the highest profit. Viewers can expect to see thrilling moments of high-stakes transportation, as well as glimpses into the personalities and work ethic of each of the shippers.
