Keima has been tasked with conquering a particularly difficult target named Kusunoki Kasuga who is known for her strong sense of justice, athletic ability, and sword-wielding skills. However, things take a twist when Elsie reveals to Keima that Kusunoki's true worry is not her love life, but rather her fear of not being able to live up to her family's expectations of her. This causes Keima to change his approach and instead of trying to win her heart, he tries to help Kusunoki gain confidence in herself and her abilities.

To do this, Keima creates a role-playing game scenario in the real world where Kusunoki is the hero and has to save someone in distress. Keima, alongside an unsuspecting Nanaka Haibara, play the villain and his minions respectively. During the game, Kusunoki slowly gains confidence in herself and her abilities, ultimately besting Keima and Nanaka and saving the day.

As the episode progresses, Keima's methods are called into question by Elsie, who is concerned that he is getting too involved with the girls he's supposed to be conquering. Keima brushes this off, claiming that his actions are purely for strategic purposes, but it's clear that there's more to it than that.

Meanwhile, Kusunoki's worries about her family's expectations come to a head as she finally confronts her father, who has been putting pressure on her to abandon her love of kendo and focus on becoming a proper lady. Kusunoki stands up for herself and refuses to back down, declaring that she'll follow her own path in life.

The episode ends with Keima and Elsie discussing their progress so far in capturing the loose souls. Keima seems to be growing more attached to the girls he's been helping, and it's clear that Elsie is both concerned and curious about his behavior. The episode sets the stage for the emotional journey that's to come as Keima continues to juggle his real-life relationships with the task at hand.
