Ep 5. It's Always Raining When We Get There

Keima and Elsie investigate a new target: Kusunoki Kasuga, a strong and beautiful girl who is also the captain of the girl's kendo team. Keima is eager to conquer her and add her to his harem, but Kusunoki proves to be a difficult target. She is not interested in romantic relationships and sees the pursuit of love as a weakness.

Keima tries to convince her to change her view, but his usual tactics of playing dating sims and using his knowledge of manga and anime do not work on her. Kusunoki challenges Keima to a kendo match, hoping to prove that she is stronger and more resilient than him. However, Keima realizes that Kusunoki has her own emotional battles to fight, as she struggles to reconcile her tomboyish attitude with her desire to be more feminine.

As Keima trains for the kendo match, he tries to understand Kusunoki's complex personality and emotions. Elsie, who is always eager to help, tries to create a love potion to make Kusunoki fall for Keima, but her attempts fail miserably. Meanwhile, Keima's classmate Ayumi, who has a crush on him, becomes jealous of his interest in Kusunoki and confronts him about it.

The kendo match finally arrives, and Keima and Kusunoki face each other in a heated battle. Keima uses his analytical skills to predict Kusunoki's moves and eventually wins the match. However, Kusunoki is not disappointed in her loss. On the contrary, she recognizes Keima's determination and strength and begins to see romantic relationships in a new light. In a surprising turn of events, she confesses her feelings to Keima and asks him to be her boyfriend.

Keima is taken aback by Kusunoki's sudden change of heart and has to decide whether to accept her confession or reject her and continue his mission of conquering other girls. As always, his decision will have consequences not only for himself, but for the supernatural world he now inhabits.
