Ep 9. The Principality of Rain

Princess Nike arrives at the Principality of Rain, where she is supposed to marry Prince Livius. She is greeted warmly by the citizens, while Livius coldly welcomes her. Confused and hurt by his behavior, Nike tries to understand why he is behaving so distant towards her. As she wanders into the city, she overhears a conversation between the people, who are praising Livius's father, the former King, for his generous and kind nature. She realizes that Livius never had the chance to know his father since he passed away when Livius was young.

Nike is determined to get closer to Livius, and decides to accompany him for a ride into the forest. During their journey, they encounter a group of bandits who try to steal their possessions. Livius, with his quick thinking and sharp aim, drives them away. Nike is impressed by his skills and tries to praise him, but he shrugs it off.

As the duo arrives back into the Principality, they hear the citizens chanting for rain. Nike, remembering how Livius had talked about his fondness for rain in previous conversations, asks him if he can make it rain. Livius is hesitant at first, but agrees to give it a try. The two of them venture to the top of the palace, where Livius performs a rain ritual that was passed down from his father. As he begins to sing the prayer, clouds gather in the sky, and soon enough, it starts pouring heavily. The citizens, grateful for the downpour, cheer them on.

Moved by Livius's actions, Nike asks him about his father. Livius tells her about the time when he met him, a man who was kind and just; a person who inspired Livius to become the ruler he is today. He admits that he doesn't know how to be a good king, that he is still learning, and sometimes he feels like he's failing.

Nike reassures Livius that he is doing great, that he has already made a difference in people's lives and inspired them. She reminds him that he has her by his side to support him. Moved by her words, Livius embraces her and tells her that he is glad she is there with him.

As the episode ends, Nike and Livius walk back to the palace, hand in hand, while the rain continues to pour. Nike is happy that she is getting a little bit closer to Livius, and Livius begins to open up to her, revealing his fears and insecurities. The two of them have come a long way from where they started and are slowly building a relationship.
