Ep 1. Seven-Colored Compass

In Uta no Prince Sama season 1 episode 1, entitled "Seven-Colored Compass," viewers are introduced to the protagonist, Haruka Nanami, as she embarks on a journey to fulfill her dream of becoming a successful composer. Haruka has just been accepted into Saotome Academy, a prestigious school for aspiring idols and music producers. We also meet Masato Hijirikawa, a stoic and reserved student who takes his studies very seriously. Next is Natsuki Shinomiya, a cheerful and eccentric student who loves animals and has a talent for making sweets. Finally, we meet Syo Kurusu, a short and energetic student who is known for his talent on the violin.

As Haruka begins her studies, she is tasked with writing a song that the male idols will perform together. She is excited to take on this challenge and spends a lot of time observing and getting to know each of the potential candidates. She learns about their individual strengths and weaknesses, and uses this knowledge to help her compose a song that will showcase their unique talents.

Throughout the episode, we see Haruka struggling to find inspiration for the song she is writing.
