Ep 3. Return to Nantucket, Part 1

Joe and Brian's old friend Helen, who happens to be a wealthy heiress, returns to Nantucket after a 10-year absence. She stays at Carol's inn and is initially happy to see Joe and Brian, but things take an unexpected turn when she reveals that she wants to invest in Sandpiper Airlines. Joe is hesitant and skeptical, but Brian sees it as a chance to finally make the business profitable. Meanwhile, Joe's brother Roy is causing trouble as always, and Lowell is preparing for a big date with a woman he's been admiring from afar.

As Helen settles in at the inn, she catches up with Joe and Brian and is quickly impressed with the progress they've made with Sandpiper Airlines. She tells them that she's been investing heavily in airlines lately and offers to buy a stake in their company. Joe is hesitant at first, not wanting to give up control, but Brian sees it as a great opportunity to turn the business around. Helen agrees to come to the airport the next day to discuss the details.

Meanwhile, Roy is causing trouble as usual. He's been kicked out of his apartment and has nowhere to stay, so he shows up at the airport looking for a place to crash. Joe reluctantly agrees to let him stay in the hangar, but soon regrets it when he starts causing problems. Roy insists on trying out the airplane simulator, even though he has no experience flying, and ends up crashing it. Joe is furious and tells him to leave, but Roy refuses to go.

Lowell, on the other hand, is having a much better time. He's been admiring a woman named Bunny from afar and finally gets up the nerve to ask her out. She accepts and Lowell is over the moon. He spends the day preparing for their date, buying new clothes and getting a haircut. When Bunny shows up, however, Lowell is devastated to find out that she's not interested in him romantically - she's a lesbian and just wants to be friends. Despite being disappointed, Lowell agrees to still hang out with her and her girlfriend.

As the day progresses, tensions between Joe and Brian grow. Joe is worried about losing control of the business, while Brian sees this as a chance to finally make it profitable. Helen senses the tension and suggests that they take a break and go sailing. Joe reluctantly agrees, but things take a turn when their boat gets stuck on a sandbar. As they try to free the boat, they get into a heated argument and Helen reveals that she has some unresolved feelings for Joe.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Joe, Brian, and Helen struggle to free the boat. Lowell is left heartbroken after his date with Bunny and Roy is still causing trouble at the airport. The stage is set for the second part of the episode, where tensions will come to a head and relationships will be tested.
