Cabin in the Woods

A lot of people like to watch suspense or scary movies. There are a ton of these kinds of movies. The Cabin in the Woods is a fantastic movie for audiences who are into mysterious movies. It was written by Joss Whedon and directed by Drew Goddard. The movie is about five friends. Dana Polk, Marty Mikalski, Curt Vaughan, Holden McCrea, and Jules Louden go on vacation to a cabin alone in the woods. When one of the girls reads a book from the basement she then awakes a family full of deadly zombies. The college students are being watched by men at a facility. The zombies first kill Jules and her boyfriend Curt runs back to the cabin to warn the others. Each one of the college friends are being given medicine by the men at the facility. The men watch while the friends are killed by the zombies one by one.

The men realize that Marty is still alive because he is prone to the medication they have been given them. He saves Dana and they take an underground elevator hoping that it will lend to a safe place. They discover that this is a ritual. They meet with the director of the facility and he says that Dana(virgin) is to be the last one to die. He tries to get her to kill Marty, but she doesn't. The ritual says if they all don't die then the whole world will be destroyed. Dana and Marty sit back and watch the cabin and the facility be destroyed. This is said to be the end of this ritual.

The movie is rated R. Audiences need to be aware of violence, language, drug use, and some nudity. The Cabin in the Woods should be for mature audiences only. Parents will want to control whether their children see this movie. It is meant for people 18 years old and up. This movie would be a good one to watch for Halloween next week. The movie is a great movie for a night with friends. It was released in April of 2012 and can be shown in 3D.
