Ep 2. Blueprint

Another is a horror anime series that revolves around a group of students in Yomiyama North Middle School. The school has a dark past, where twenty-six years ago, something terrible happened, leading to the deaths of several students. Ever since then, the school has been cursed with an unexplainable phenomenon where a student dies every year, without a natural cause. The story follows a transfer student named Koichi who moves into the town. He quickly discovers the curse as strange things begin to happen when he joins his new class.

Episode 2, titled "Blueprint," begins with Koichi and his new friend, Mei, trying to unravel the mystery of the curse and the strange happenings in their town. They both went to explore the abandoned hospital beforehand, where they found a terrifying blueprint. As a result, they come up with a plan to gather information about the curse. Mei suggests that they should meet with the class's deceased student's homeroom teacher, Mr. Kubodera, to gain insight into the events happening in the school.

The duo sneaks into the teacher's office but finds it to be empty. They begin to look around and find various articles and information that suggest that Class 3 has a grim past of unexplained deaths. Koichi finds a pile of old newspapers and starts to read through them, and realizes that the deaths have been occurring for over twenty-six years. Mei finds an old yearbook, and they both notice something odd about the class group photo. There's a mysterious extra person in the photo who neither Koichi nor Mei recognize.

The two classmates return to the school to investigate further and try to confront Mr. Kubodera once more. However, they are stopped by a teacher who is angry about them being out of bounds. Suddenly, they hear footsteps and hide. They overhear a conversation between Mr. Kubodera and the teacher as they discuss something important. Though, they can't seem to figure out the topic in question.

Later that night, Koichi and Mei sneak back into the school to investigate further. They discover an old sub-basement where the extra person, whom they saw in the yearbook photo, seems to be living. The person is hostile to them, and Koichi discovers that he is not human, but a doll. They realize that the doll is closely connected to the curse somehow.

The next day, Mei and Koichi attend their class, and they are surprised to see that there is a new student among them. His name is Akazawa and is a member of the student council. The new student seems to be awkward, and everyone else in the class remains distant from him. Then, Koichi remembers the school newspaper, which he read in the teacher's office, that Akazawa was also the lead reporter on. This information makes Koichi suspicious about the new student and his true intentions.

Suddenly, the new student collapses. Everyone begins to panic, thinking that another person is going to die. However, he quickly gets back up and reveals that he suffered from a heart defect. They are left in a state of shock since it seemed that the curse on the town was onto him as well.

In conclusion, episode 2 of Another titled "Blueprint" moves at a steady pace and leaves the audience with more questions about the curse. The story builds more suspense and mystery surrounding each new character introduced. The plot progresses as Koichi and Mei continue to gather more information, and the new student raises suspicions.
