Kate Plus 8 also delves in to Kate's struggles to balance her professional life, such as starring on Dancing with Stars, along with trying to be a good parent. The normal times in the kids' lives are shown as well from them attending school, to going on shopping trips with their mom. Kate and her family also have a number of fun adventures at home from setting up a pen for chickens to celebrating birthday parties. The kids and Kate complete all of these activities under the watchful eye of the paparazzi who stalk the family since they've become famous.
In addition to the every day things that Kate and her kids enjoy on Kate Plus 8 they also have a number of adventures that are more out of the ordinary. The family takes a trip to Alaska where they meet former governor Sarah Palin, as well as visiting the Australia Zoo where they meet the late Steve Irwin's family. Kate also gets to explore life as a single dating mom when her best friend Jamie takes her on a trip to New York City to try her hand at meeting new men.
Kate Plus 8 is a fun family show for people who are interested in learning more about the Gosselin family and also how a family with that many children really runs.

Despite losing her show and going through the "Dancing with the Stars" gauntlet, "Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin has landed herself a nice, cushy new job that she'll be able to do from home, surrounded by her way-too-many children - she'll be a columnist for CouponCabin.com.
The ink on the "Kate Plus 8" death certificate has barely dried, but Jon Gosselin didn't waste a moment deciding to Dougie on the one-time TLC juggernaut's grave. "I hope they can have more private family moments. I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future," Jon commented.
When TLC released their fall schedule and "Kate Plus 8" wasn't on it, we suspected the show was about to be cancelled. Now it's official. A TLC representative released a statement to People acknowledging the cancellation, though also suggesting it might not be the last we see of Kate Gosellin on the network.
TLC recently announced its Fall 2011 line-up. "Sister Wives"? Check. "Extreme Couponing?" Check. "Toddlers & Tiaras"? Ugh. Creepy check. "Cake Boss"? "Little People, Big World"? "Say Yes To The Dress"? Check, check and check. "Kate Plus 8"? Ahem . . . "Kate Plus 8"? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
