Watch Beware The Batman

"Beware the Batman" is the latest animated series featuring the Dark Knight. The show takes place just a few years into Bruce Wayne's career as Batman, where his main antagonist is not one of his traditional arch enemies like the Joker or Two-Face. In "Beware," many of Batman's battles are against Anarky. Both a hero and villain in the comic books, the writers of "Beware" revamped the character into a criminal mastermind who comes up with complex plans to try and defeat Batman. In addition, the Caped Crusader regularly faces a familiar nemesis, Ra's al Ghul and his League of Assassins.

"Beware" does feature Batman's usual stable of allies. Alfred the butler and James Gordon

When Batman and Katana discover that the League is hiding in Gotham's underground power station, Fallpoint, they stage a daring raid. But Ra's is too powerful for even Batman.

With Harvey's blessing, Anarky ups the stakes and recruits a new hero to take Batman's place - Deathstroke (ROBIN ATKIN DOWNES). With each clue, however, the game gets deadlier and begins to take its toll on Batman who's obsessed with solving the mystery and defeating Dumpty!

  • There's a new hero in Old Gotham. A Golem creature has been fighting back against armored criminals attacking local businesses. Tracking the creature down to an abandoned synagogue, Batman and Katana discover that the "Golem" is actually Rex Mason (aka Metamorpho), who's been retraining his body in order to help the citizens of Old Gotham. Realizing he's found a new ally, Batman joins Metamorpho's fight, but it isn't easy. The criminals are using high-tech weaponry... from Stagg Industries!

  • Six months after the attack by the League of Assassins and Lt. Gordon is now Commissioner Gordon. The new mayor, Marion Grange (CCH POUNDER) has hired a new district attorney, Harvey Dent (CHRISTOPHER McDONALD) who wants to bring Batman to justice. When someone tries to kill Mayor Grange and kidnaps Harvey Dent, all fingers point to Batman (when in fact, he's being framed by his old nemesis Anarky). Now, it's up to Batman and Katana to clear Batman's name before someone dies for real.

  • Discovering that Batman has escaped and is attempting to thwart his plans for dominance over Gotham, Ra's decides to call in reinforcements. Going to Blackgate, he unleashes some of Batman's greatest enemies - including Professor Pyg, Mr. Toad, Magpie, Tobias Whale, Phosphorus Rex and Cypher. The band of villains proceeds to tear Gotham apart until they meet Batman, who must fight his way through them in order to stop Ra's. With Batman distracted, Ra's turns his sights on Katana and Alfred.

  • With Batman a prisoner - and the League of Assassins now in control of Gotham - it's up to a small band of heroes to save the city. Still wary of Alfred, Katana goes with him to meet Gordon. Together, they plan to hack into the Ion Cortex, defeating the League's plans and pulling Gotham out of darkness. Unfortunately, the best person for the hacking job is Gordon's own daughter, Barbara. Meanwhile, Batman finds himself in the same cell as his old nemesis Silver Monkey. Agreeing to an uneasy truce, the Monkey and the Bat break out, with Batman determined to destroy the Cortex.

  • Professor Pyg and Mr. Toad are back...and they've set their sights on Gotham's elite couture culture. Leaving clues that only Batman can decipher, they attack both a model and a clothing designer - encasing them in deadly traps. Although Batman and Katana are able to save the day, they miss Pyg and Toad's master plan: to destroy the yacht where the after-party for Gotham's Fashion Week is being staged. Every fashion icon in the world will be there... as well as Bruce Wayne!

  • Anarky returns once again to challenge Batman - but this time, his plan is far more deadly. Stealing a valuable object from the League of Assassins, Anarky pins the blame on Batman. At the same time, Anarky informs Batman that he knows where he can find the League. Although he knows it's a trap, Batman goes with Katana anyway. As it turns out, Anarky has led both Batman, Katana, League leader Lady Shiva and her ninja assassins to a building that handles rare and deadly diseases. Once inside, Anarky releases one of the airborne viruses in the building. Now Batman and the others have to find a way to escape before being killed. One more thing: if the virus gets out...Gotham is doomed!

  • With the League of Assassins knowing where the SoulTaker Sword is, but unable to get Katana to return it, they decide their only course of action is to kidnap Bruce Wayne and hold him for ransom - that ransom being the sword. Of course, they don't realize that Bruce Wayne is actually Batman! When Katana shows up to turn over the sword and rescue Wayne, Alfred causes a diversion, allowing Wayne to don the Batman suit and join the battle. Teaming with Katana to end the League, Batman finds himself in an all-out ninja fight that ends with a startling revelation.

  • Responding to a break-in at Stagg Industries, Batman rescues a security guard named Rex Mason (ADAM BALDWIN) who had been exposed to a weaponized toxic gas called Project Metamorpho. Soon, Rex begins to mutate, with the ability to control the elements in his own body. Terrified and unable to control his new abilities, Rex becomes a fugitive. Realizing that this metamorphosis is slowly killing Rex, Batman sets out to find a cure. But Rex is only concerned about the woman he loves - Sapphire Stagg (EMMANUELLE CHRIQUI) - and he'd risk all of Gotham to be with her. But her father - Simon Stagg (JEFF BENNETT) - holds secrets of his own and will do anything to keep them apart.

  • Strange, life-size metal toy army men have started to appear all over Gotham...armed with real weapons. When Batman investigates, however, he discovers they are more than toys, but actual living people trapped inside an explosive shell. The clues all lead back to a former mob accountant named Humpty Dumpty (MATT JONES), who went insane when the Mob tried to silence him before he could testify. Now, he wants revenge, and one of the people he's targeted is Lieutenant James Gordon!

  • Introducing the prototype of his newest product to the world - the Ion Cortex, a device capable of solving the world's energy crisis - Bruce Wayne hires brilliant scientist Dr. Jason Burr (MATTHEW LILLARD) to work on the project. The announcement also draws the attention of one of the most dangerous groups in the world - the League of Assassins. When one of the League's deadly assassins, Silver Monkey (JAMES REMAR), attacks Wayne Manor to kidnap Burr while Batman's in Gotham, it's up to Alfred and Katana to keep the assassin at bay until Batman's return. But Katana is armed and ready for the task - with her legendary Soultaker Sword, a weapon she stole from the infamous League of Assassins!

  • A new villain has come to town to challenge Batman for control of Gotham City: Anarky (WALLACE LANGHAM). Resembling a ghost image of Batman, Anarky prides himself on his brilliance - and intends to prove it to Batman by manipulating a pair of unsuspecting pawns to do his bidding. But Anarky's real plan is far more devastating: seeking to create a disaster seen by all of Gotham and proving once and for all that even the great Batman is powerless to protect his fair city from the clutches of Anarky.

  • In the series premiere, villains Professor Pyg and Mister Toad (BRIAN GEORGE and UDO KIER) are hunting billionaires in Gotham City to make them pay for their crimes against nature. And since Bruce Wayne (ANTHONY RUIVIVAR) is on their list, Batman has to solve this case fast! When Alfred (JB BLANC) is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned oil derrick to be hunted with the other kidnapped billionaires, Batman must put the clues together before their heads end up hanging on the walls of Pyg and Toad's hunting lodge. Realizing that he might become a liability for Batman, Alfred recruits a new bodyguard (and potential new partner), the beautiful and deadly Tatsu "Katana" Yamashiro (SUMALEE MONTANO).
