He tries kielbasa and pierogies, traditional Polish dishes popular in the city's Polish Hill neighborhood. Finally, Zimmern travels to the central part of the state to try some of Pennsylvania's wild game. He goes hunting for wild turkey and then visits a local game farm where he tries elk, venison, and wild boar. He also attends a local game dinner, where he samples various wild game dishes, including bear meatballs and squirrel stew.

Throughout his journey, Zimmern meets with local chefs, farmers, and food enthusiasts to learn about the history and culture behind the foods he tries. He also experiences the close connection between Pennsylvania's rural communities and the food they produce, from farm-fresh vegetables to wild game hunted in the nearby forests.
