Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Season 2013 Episode 16 Kings and Queens of 'Cue

In the 16th episode of the 2013 season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri is on a mission to find the best barbecue joints across America. The episode is titled Kings and Queens of 'Cue, and Fieri visits a number of restaurants that are known for their expertise in barbecuing meat.

The first stop on Fieri's journey is Hometown Bar-B-Que in Brooklyn, New York. Here, Fieri meets up with renowned pitmaster Billy Durney, who shows him how to make a special brisket that is smoked using white oak. Fieri also samples some of Durney's other signature dishes, including pulled pork and lamb belly.

Next, Fieri heads to San Antonio, Texas, to check out a popular barbecue spot called The Granary. Here, he meets up with pitmaster Tim Rattray, who shows him how to make a unique dish called 'barbecue ramen'. Fieri is impressed by the combination of traditional Texas barbecue flavors with the Japanese noodles in this innovative dish.

Moving on to St. Louis, Missouri, Fieri visits Bogart's Smokehouse, where pitmaster Skip Steele shows him how to make some local favorites, including pork steaks, beef brisket and burnt ends. Fieri also gets to try some unique side dishes, such as smoked gouda mac and cheese and sweet potato fries.

In Kansas City, Missouri, Fieri visits Q39, a restaurant and bar that has quickly become known for its award-winning barbecue. Here, he meets with owner and pitmaster Rob Magee, who gives him a behind-the-scenes look at how the restaurant's wood-fired smokers work. Fieri tries a variety of meats, including brisket, pork ribs and pulled pork, as well as some unique dishes like the burnt-end burger and the Joe's Kansas City Z-Man sandwich.

Finally, Fieri wraps up his tour of the best barbecue joints in America by visiting B's Cracklin' BBQ in Atlanta, Georgia. Here, he meets with owner and pitmaster Bryan Furman, who shares his passion for barbecuing and his commitment to using only the best quality ingredients. Fieri tries some of Furman's signature dishes, including pulled pork, baby back ribs, and his famous 'cracklin bread'.

As always, Fieri's enthusiasm and love for great food is infectious, and viewers will be inspired to try out some of the dishes themselves. Whether you're a seasoned barbecue lover or just looking for some new culinary inspiration, this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is a must-watch.
