At the start of the episode, host Guy Fieri visits a popular restaurant in Los Angeles called Fosselman's Ice Cream and Co. Here Guy tasted their yummy clam chowder, which is made with a secret recipe and loaded with large-sized clams. Moving further to Phoenix, Arizona, Guy visits a family-owned eatery called Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe. The café boasts of its classic African American soul food recipes and Guy is keen to delve into their gumbo – a stew made with chicken, sausage, shrimp, and file powder served with a side of creamy mac and cheese.

In the third segment of the episode, Guy takes us to Paseo Caribbean Food joint, located in Seattle, Washington. The kitchen staff at this eatery whip up a really irresistible soup called "Pork Shoulder Caribbean Roast." Made with caramelized onions and savory pork, it is a must-try for all pork lovers out there. Next, Guy travels all the way to Jacksonville, Florida, where he visits The French Pantry. This little spot is known for its gourmet soups, including a tomato-based crab chowder and a hearty cream-based mushroom soup.

Later in the episode, Guy moves on to San Antonio, Texas, and visits a Mexican restaurant called Garcia's Mexican Food. True to its Mexican roots, Garcia's serves up a soup that's almost synonymous with Mexico - Menudo; a spicy and flavorful tripe soup that is perfect for warming up during winter months. Heading back up north, the next stop is St. Louis, Missouri, at the Protzel's Deli. Famous for its "Matzo Ball Soup," it's a carnivore’s soup dream, loaded with bratwurst, meatballs, beef, and of course - matzo balls.

In the penultimate segment, Guy heads over to Portland, Oregon to the Screen Door restaurant. Known for its hipster vibe, the restaurant is a go-to spot when it comes to Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Packed with heat and flavor, this classic Louisiana stew will certainly warm anybody's soul. Finally, Guy heads to Seattle, Washington to visit his old friend Mitch Mayers at Sawyer. The dish of the day is the "Squad Chowder" - a dish that came from the restaurant’s test kitchen as they were experimentating during lockdown. It is made up of fresh oysters, bacon, potatoes and a creamy base that is guaranteed to make you keep wanting more and more.
