An American reality television show, LAPD: Life On The Beat follows police officers of the Los Angeles Police Department while they are on duty doing what they do best - protecting and serving the public. There are several Los Angeles Police Officers that are documented throughout the entire series and some are featured more often than others such as officers Jeff Alley, Derek O'Donnell, Tim Colomey and Sean Colomey whom are brothers of the South Los Angeles patrol division. This television series follows police officers from all 18 branches of the LAPD which covers all areas of Los Angeles. In a typical episode, the show features one cold case story and includes a quiz relating to law enforcement. 576 episodes of the show feature different aspects of the LAPD including Patrol shifts, Special Weapons And Tactics, Gang units, Vice units, Domestic Violence Units and Air Support Division. LAPD: Life On The Beat will allow the viewer to be able to comprehend the dangers of having a law enforcement job in the Los Angeles Area. Some episodes include narcotic raiding operations, SWAT response to emergencies and the everyday potential life-threatening situations that the LAPD officers face every single day while on the beat.
