Ep 4. Black Girl Magic Or Black Girl Tragic?

In this episode of Married to Medicine season 5, titled "Black Girl Magic Or Black Girl Tragic?", tensions run high between the ladies as they navigate both personal and professional challenges.

Dr. Simone and Cecil struggle to come to terms with their adult son heading off to college and leaving the nest. Simone worries about losing control over her son's life, while Cecil worries about their relationship changing without their son around. To cope with their fears, they make a joint decision to seek couples therapy to strengthen their bond.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jackie hosts a charity event to help provide mammograms to underprivileged women. However, when the event is marred by a lack of planning and organization, the other ladies begin to question her ability to lead. Adding to her stress, Jackie also has to confront her husband Curtis about his infidelities and decide whether or not she wants to stay in the marriage.

Elsewhere, Dr. Heavenly and her husband Damon try to heal their rocky relationship by undergoing couples therapy. As they delve into their issues, they both realize that they need to make a lot of changes if they want to stay together.

The episode also follows the continuing feud between Dr. Contessa and Toya. After their altercation at the crab boil, Contessa tries to make amends by inviting Toya and the other ladies to her new housewarming party. However, tensions reach a boiling point when Contessa remarks on Toya's weight, sparking a heated argument that threatens to derail the evening.

As the episode comes to a close, the ladies are forced to confront their own flaws, insecurities, and fears as they navigate the ups and downs of their personal and professional lives. With so much drama and so many unresolved issues, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to overcome their differences and come together as a united front once again.
