Ep 6. Valet Disservice

In Mystery Diners Season 2, Episode 6, titled "Valet Disservice," restaurant owners turn to Charles Stiles and his team of mystery diners to investigate a valet service that they suspect is stealing from their customers. The restaurant in question, Rocco's Italian Grille, is a locally popular spot that has noticed a decline in business over the past month. The owners, Tony and Marisa, believe that the valet service they hired to park cars outside their restaurant is to blame.

Charles Stiles sends in his team of mystery diners to investigate the valet service at Rocco's Italian Grille. The team begins by mobilizing their hidden cameras and installing microphones around the valet area. They also send in a mystery diner named Hunter, who poses as a customer who has just arrived at the restaurant.

As Hunter approaches the valet stand, he is greeted by a young man named Leo, who appears to be the head valet. Hunter hands over his keys to Leo, who quickly parks the car and hands Hunter a claim ticket. As Hunter walks into the restaurant, he notices that Leo is not wearing a uniform or name tag, and he becomes suspicious.

Back at the mystery diner's control center, Charles Stiles and his team watch as Leo begins rifling through Hunter's car and pockets. They also observe him texting on his phone and making phone calls, all while he is supposed to be parking cars. As the night progresses, it becomes clear that Leo is not only stealing from customers, but is also helping himself to free food and drinks inside the restaurant.

The mystery diners decide to take action and confront Leo about his behavior. They set up a sting operation where they send in a second mystery diner named Kelly to play the role of a customer who has just had her car stolen by the valet. Kelly approaches Leo and tells him that her car has been stolen, and whether he knows anything about it. Leo denies any responsibility, but the mystery diner team is watching closely.

As the team continues to observe Leo, they notice him making a series of phone calls and texting back and forth with someone. They decide to intercept his phone and discover he has been communicating with a group of his criminal friends who are planning a major car heist at another restaurant. Charles and his team quickly alert the authorities, who are able to prevent a major car theft from taking place.

As the episode comes to an end, Charles and his team meet with Tony and Marisa from Rocco's Italian Grille to reveal their findings. Tony and Marisa are shocked to hear about the extent of Leo's criminal behavior, and they vow to take steps to improve their hiring practices and prevent this type of behavior from happening again. Meanwhile, the valet service company that they hired is promptly fired and the community is spared from a major heist.
