Ep 1. Cat & Girl & Allergy

In the first episode of Omamori Himari, we are introduced to the protagonist, a young man named Yuto Amakawa. Yuto has just turned 16 and is living alone due to the recent death of his parents. He is visited by a childhood friend of his, Rinko Kuzaki, who brings along a mysterious package. Inside the package is a demon-slaying sword that has been passed down in Yuto's family for generations.

Suddenly, a beautiful catgirl named Himari appears and declares that she is Yuto's protector. She informs him that he is being targeted by demons and that the sword he has inherited is necessary for protection. Yuto is initially wary of Himari and the idea of demons, but as more and more of them start to appear, he realizes that Himari might just be telling the truth.

Throughout the episode, Yuto tries to come to terms with the newfound reality of demons and his role in defeating them. There is also a lighthearted subplot involving Yuto's severe allergies to cats and Himari's feline appearance. This leads to some comedic moments as Himari tries to get closer to Yuto, only for him to sneeze and push her away.
