Stan Lee's SuperHumans is a television series that explores the lives of people who possess extraordinary abilities that go beyond what is considered normal. Each episode features individuals whose physical or mental abilities are simply remarkable, and Stan Lee, the creator of many popular superhero comic books, presents the superhumans to an audience looking for something new and unusual. In season 3 episode 2, titled Painproof, a new set of superhumans are introduced.

The episode starts with Stan Lee introducing the world to those who are considered painproof. These are the individuals who feel no pain or can tolerate high levels of pain. The show first focuses on an artist who is allergic to anesthesia. The artist's name is Michael. Michael is unique in that he is a tattoo artist but cannot tolerate the use of anesthesia. He is forced to use his mind to distract himself from the pain, and he can only tolerate it for a short period.

The next person on the show is Bobby. Bobby is a martial arts expert who has the ability to tolerate immense pain. He can go for days without resting, despite having suffered injuries during fights. Bobby demonstrates his ability by allowing an intense martial arts instructor to attack him repeatedly, with no apparent effect. Bobby explains that his ability is a result of his intense training and discipline.

The next superhuman is a man named Tav. Tav is an insomniac who can go for weeks without sleep. Tav explains that he does not feel the need to sleep, and he can stay awake for as long as he wants without any adverse effects. The show examines Tav's life and how he manages to remain awake for long periods. Tav's ability is impressive considering sleep is essential for the brain to function.

The show then introduces us to a firefighter named Joe. Joe is a true example of someone who is painproof. He explains that he feels pain just like anyone else, but his ability to ignore the pain has allowed him to perform heroic feats. Joe has been in several dangerous situations that would have paralyzed an average person with fear and pain. Joe demonstrates his bravery by running into a burning building without hesitation.

The last superhuman on the show is a psychic named Debbie. Debbie has the ability to read people's minds and predict their thoughts. She explains that she has always had the ability to read thoughts, but she has only recently learned how to control it. To demonstrate her abilities, she is given a set of cards with different images on them. She proceeds to read the minds of the people around her, correctly guessing the images on the cards. Debbie is a testament to the fact that the human mind is capable of incredible things.

Overall, the episode explores diverse abilities that are not commonly found in the general population. Each of these superhumans has a unique trait that sets them apart from the rest of humanity. Although some of these abilities may seem strange or even unnatural, these individuals have learned to adapt and use their abilities for the greater good. Stan Lee's SuperHumans season 3 episode 2, Painproof, is an eye-opening look at the different ways the human mind and body can push beyond their limits.
