Rather, the story of Political Animals is about all families who have entered the White House and the unique issues they face try and hide while in the public view. The producers wanted to show the lives of our politicians from a different angle than what the public is used to seeing and show that political families are not just smiling faces in a TV ad, they are people struggling with issues that most of the population will never face.
Political Animals will take the viewer on an emotional journey. Elaine will struggle through many issues in her political career. At the same time, she tries to keep her family together. Elaine goes from seeming like a cold, reserved First Lady to a vibrant, loving mother and dedicated Secretary of State.
