Project Accessory is an hour long reality TV show that focuses on creating fashion accessories. Twelve contestants compete against each other in new challenges each week to showcase their ability as designers. Each challenge has a different theme and requires the designers to draw inspiration from unconventional places ranging from the beach to storage facilities. After their designs have been presented to and critiqued by a panel of esteemed judges, one contestant is eliminated. The winner of the series will go home with $100,000 to put towards starting his or her own accessory line that will be sold exclusively on eBay.

American model and actress, Molly Sims, acts as the show's host as well as a judge. Sims is joined on the judging panel by American fashion designer, Kenneth Cole. The editor for InStyle Magazine, Ariel Foxman is also on the panel. Eva Jean-bart-Lorenzotti, founder of Virve (a widely popular shopping website), acts as a mentor for the hopeful contestants. Every episode there is also a guest judge. Guest judges have included Alexa Chung, Kelly Osbourne, and Debra Messing.

Project Accessory originally aired on October 28, 2011 on Lifetime Televison. The final episode of the first season aired on December 22, 2011. The show is produced by the Weinstein Company and Goodbye Pictures. Executive producers of the show include Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein, Meryl Poster, and Barbara Schneeweiss. Rich Bye and Fred Pichel of Goodbye Pictures also get a producing credit. As do, Sarah Emanuel, Gena McCarthy, David Hillman, and Kim Chessler of Lifetime.
