'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 18: 'Tempus Fugit'

Ichabod has orders not to leave his battlefield, but information that Abbie offers about his Hessian soldier brings him to her cell. He is skeptical of her, but she tells him that the horseman has an ally now - a woman who will make sure he dies on the battlefield. Katrina rushes into the tent where Ichabod is supposed to lay mortally wounded, cut down by the soldier.... but finds another. Abbie has succeeded in keeping Ichabod from the battle that would kill him, but now she is seriously concerned about how this has affected the future.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 17: 'Awakening'

The bell in the center of town rings, and several people within earshot go white in the eyes, and magically attack the person they are currently angry with. They shake out of it after a short violent episode. Who's to blame? Henry of course. Using the Grimoire, Henry is trying to use an awakening spell on the witches of Sleepy Hollow, who, of course, don't know that they're magical. However he doesn't have enough power. He goes to Katrina, who is trying to summon him (using blood magic, gasp!), and explains his plan to her.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 16: 'What Lies Beneath'

When a crew mapping old tunnels of the city disappears, Ichabod and Abbie use their archive maps to go after them, plagued by the journalist brother of one of the men, Calvin Riggs (is he a new love interest for Abbie? Can we please please find someone as charismatic as Ichabod and not another Hawley-type dud?). They uncover a hidden chamber where the men appear to have vanished. Ichabod notes that it was designed by Thomas Jefferson, his once-mentor and kind-of friend, which appears a touchy subject as Ichabod was "unfriended" by Jefferson for no apparent reason.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 15: 'Spellcaster'

This week's adventure gives us a little history on Katrina's family, the dawning of the Salem Witch Trials (because was there an event in history that Ichabod and/or his wife didn't somehow factor into?), and a further exploration of Henry and Irving's new characters. Ichabod and Abbie are on the case after a mysterious figure breaks into an auction house and steals the Grimoire, a rare spell book that had been recently unearthed. He leaves behind him the bodies of the auction house employees, their blood boiled.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 14: 'Kali Yuga'

Things seem a little off between our leads, Ichabod and Abbie, ever since the whole Horseman/Katrina/Orion triangle put everyone on different sides. Despite the fact that everyone can see it, Abbie and Ichabod continue to insist that they are fine and that they worked things out. That is called into question when Hawley's past comes to haunt him, and tests the bond between Abbie and Ichabod. Hawley goes off to a deal, but finds he has been tricked into reuniting with his godmother who raised him after his parents died.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 13: 'Pittura Infamante'

A man is restoring an old painting of an artist, with back facing the viewer while working a canvas, when suddenly it begins to bleed. It stops just as abruptly. There the painting is on display - a self portrait of the artist, someone explains, that once hung in the home of President Adams. Katrina, a friend of the Adam's family, has no recollection of it. The restorer Grant, a friend of Ichabod's, pulls him aside to tell him what happened, but he is pulled aside by his employer before he can get the story out.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 12: 'Paradise Lost'

Six weeks after Henry killed Moloch and vanished, no one can seem to adjust to normal life. Ichabod is desperately seeking something to do, and he manages to find it. A few demons have escaped Purgatory and are hiding out at a farm. He and Abbie find them, but before they can fight, an angel swoops in and kills one, as the others flee. His name is Orion, and he was trapped in Purgatory as well. Moloch's death has freed him, and he is hunting others who escaped... as well as the Horseman of Death, who imprisoned him there.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 11: 'The Akeda'

Icabod and Abbie race to Frederick's Manor, but the electrical storm happening around them destroys their car. At a gas station, they lift a motorcycle. They get to the manor but find it empty. They string yarn across a small replica of the city in the places Henry has struck, and find that he has created a pentagram over the city. 'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 10: 'Magnum Opus'

In an effort to try to find the clues in Grace Dixon's journal, which they have been poring over to no avail, Abbie and Ichabod play a game in hopes that the distraction will rattle something loose for them in their minds. Katrina uses a mirror to contact them, telling them about Moloch growing so quickly. Icabod tells her there is a weapon, but they need her help. She has to go before they can discuss it further. Henry comes in later and uses the mirror to see the conversation. Ichabod goes back to the book, which talks about "watchers," another word for witches.

Ichabod and Katrina spend time together for once, just the two of them, relaxing. She wants him to know she has always been the same person, even when she has had to hold things back. He reminds her secrecy is a hard habit to breka. Henry pulls a beating heart from a jar and chants, awakening it. Across from him, a naked woman appears. At a club, a nerdy guy can't approach the nerdy girl he likes. The woman from before appears beside him, looking similar to the girl he was interested in, and flirts with him.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 7: 'Deliverance'

In a tender moment, Katrina and Ichabod lie in bed in the past, speculating over what their children will be like. It dissolves into a nightmare, Katrina waking in horror, still coughing and sick from swallowing the spider. Abraham tries to help Katrina, but she is certain she has been poisoned and suspicious of him. As he attempts to care for her, Henry bursts in. Two men hold Katrina and look her over. Henry says he is there at Moloch's command. He has a new purpose for her. Henry and the men drag her off.

'Sleepy Hollow' Recap: Season 2, Episode 6: 'And the Abyss Gazes Back'

Abbie makes Ichabod do yoga, which he detests. She calls it training for their work - keeping strong, and stilling their mind. He admits to being hurt by Katrina withholding her information. Yoga isn't helping him feel better, so they go for a drink. At the bar, Abbie breaks up a fight, recognizing one of the guys as "Joe." It's Corbin's son.
