The movie "El Infierno", or in English "Hell", is a Mexican drama action comedy which tries to relate the life of the small cities of South America and their people which are caught in the international drug business and drug war. The story related in this movie begins with the deportation from the United states of the immigrant and main character of the film, Benjamín García also known as Benny. After he got himself kicked out from the land of freedom, his life took a bad turn and he found himself caught between a rock and a hard place. He is now confronting with poverty, with no job and the only solution in his little home town seemed the drug business. All the town was involved and soon he managed to get to the top and live the easy an good life. He had everything a man wants: lots of money, easy work, women and his life was an unstoppable party. But as we all know, these kind of stories are not longer than a butterfly's life and it came the time for Benny to pay the price of his luxury. The violent part of the criminal life started to show its signs and once again, he found himself in a very difficult situation. The thing that makes this Mexican film so captivating and interesting to watch is its authenticity. These kind of things are really happening in the Latin America and through this movie which presents all the aspects of the violent drug wars in a slightly less tragic manner you can make a picture of how the life of those who get caught in this business really is. Even if it might sound like a cliche, but "El Inferno" successfully managed to present the unpleasant consequences of easy money and criminal life.
