Paul McGillion, on the other hand, does an excellent job portraying Sydney's father. He appears to be caring towards Sydney, but his choice to indulge in his new relationship and abandon his daughter ultimately leads to a tragic situation. His character is flawed, but his portrayal is realistic and relatable.

Brittney Wilson as Sydney is also outstanding. Her character goes through various stages of grief and emotion, ultimately culminating in a courageous and decisive move to expose her father's affair.
