In season 8, episode 3 of Bizarre Foods, host Andrew Zimmern explores the culinary scene in Seattle, Washington. Situated in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle is known for its fresh seafood, coffee culture, and innovative cuisine.

Zimmern starts his journey at Pike Place Market, a bustling public market that has been around since 1907. Finally, Zimmern heads to the outskirts of Seattle to visit a farm that specializes in raising heritage pork. He learns about the different breeds of pigs and how their diet affects the taste of the meat. He then participates in a traditional pig roast, where the farm's meat is cooked in a pit in the ground.
