Cajun Justice is an American TV reality series based around the lives and experiences of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Department in the Louisiana swamplands. Unlike regular law enforcement reality shows, Cajun Justice follows a completely different set of rules; the rules of the bayou. Calls for the cops in the swamp aren't what most typical people are used to, these calls take some strange turns; for instance, when the police have to come out to investigate the latest Rougarou sighting, (the shape shifting swamp monster that apparently inhabits the area), or go on the hunt for a merciless serial killer who thinks they can actually hide out in the bayou and get away with their heinous crimes. Police cars do little good in this unique 2,000 square mile terrain, nor does the common law practices of the rest of the world. Folks that live out in the swamps seem to have their own set of laws that they live by, and the police of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Department have to juggle those beliefs and the real law they are sworn to uphold in order to fairly enforce justice. The locals dwell in small, but cozy, abodes designed to withstand the swamp weather, the crimes are not the average run of the mill police call; a "normal" police call is to report someone out on the bayou illegally hunting alligators and the occasional air conditioner theft, and not all the criminals can be locked up in a cell for the night, sometimes they are 6 feet of scales and teeth intruding on others. This reality hit will take viewers on a very unique ride through some of the most eerie places in the United States, and show them the strangest calls and law enforcement needs that they have ever seen. For the people of the swamps though, this life and the odd behaviors that people will be watching, are all a part of their ordinary every day lives.
