Johnny Sokko season 1 episode 1, titled "Dracalon, The Great Sea Monster," follows the story of a young boy named Johnny Sokko who discovers a wristwatch that can communicate with a giant robot named Giant Robot. After understanding the power of his newfound tool, Johnny realizes that he has the responsibility of protecting the world from evil powers.

The episode opens on a peaceful coastal town where people are enjoying their day to day activities. A fisherman named Tom catches a mysterious creature in his fishing net. He gets stunned by its abnormal appearance and immediately contacts the authorities to take the creature away.

Meanwhile, Johnny Sokko, an adventurous young boy stumbles upon a secret cave on a beach. Inside the cave, somehow he stumbles upon the wristwatch which can control Giant Robot. Johnny inquisitively learns that the watch was created by a secret organization, the Unicorn, to fight against various villains, thereby protecting the earth from their evil intentions.

Johnny gets thrilled with the thought of controlling a giant robot and demonstrating power against the wrongdoers. On his way back home, he witnesses a group of people gathered around the beach to see the arrival of a floating island. The island has the ability to dive underwater, and as it approaches the shore, people sense that something unusual is about to happen.

The group of people are in chaos as a huge water surging throws everyone to the shore. The unity of interests brings Johnny to his true passion for the invention, and in a critical time, he pushes the button on his wristwatch, summoning Giant Robot.

The robot arrives and starts analyzing the situation. It reveals that a monstrous creature, Dracalon, known to be extinct for centuries has awakened due to a shift in underwater formation. The beast is creating havoc in the coastal town and causing severe destruction. Giant Robot and Johnny prepare to battle the monster.

Dracalon emerges from the water, and the battle begins. But the monster is more powerful than anticipated, and it knocks the Giant Robot with great force, leading to Johnny's wristwatch falling into the ocean. Thus, leaving Johnny and Giant Robot vulnerable for the fight.

The battle between Giant Robot and Dracalon continues, each new turn seems to aggravate the situation. Dracalon's skill presented an obstacle to the Giant Robot's defensive capabilities, and it was struggling to mount an effective attack. At this critical point, Johnny picks up a metal bar and focuses all his attention on the Giant Robot. As he concentrates, his wrist turn red, indicating that he had his wristwatch back and is now in control of the Giant Robot.

Johnny realizes the true message of this situation: true power comes not only from the gadget but also from the user's human heart. He transforms the robot's hand into a giant drill, smashes into the monster's skull, and ultimately defeats it.

The episode ends with the magical Giant Robot returning to its original depth. Johnny returns to the people of the town, who thank him endlessly for his heroics. Johnny feels a sense of pride and satisfaction that he played an instrumental role in saving the people of the coastal town from certain disaster.

In conclusion, the first episode of Johnny Sokko sets up the premise of the series, which revolves around a boy controlling a giant robot for the greater good, the battle between good and evil, the importance of courage, and how the true power of technology comes from the heart of its user.
