The show Liberty's Kids, The Complete Series is a historical animated series that follows the lives of a group of young patriots during the American Revolution. In season 1 episode 40, We The People, the kids learn about the creation of the United States Constitution.

As the episode opens, Sarah is excited to hear news about the convention in Philadelphia. Benjamin Franklin and the other delegates from the Constitutional Convention have just signed the document, but Sarah is dismayed to find out that the Constitution still needs to be ratified by all 13 states.

James explains to her that the ratification process is a difficult one, as not everyone will agree with the new document. Henri adds that some states may refuse to sign it altogether.

As the kids discuss the Constitution, Sarah realizes that it does not include any mention of individual rights. She is horrified and wonders if the new government will have too much power over the citizens.

Meanwhile, James and Moses head to New York to witness the ratification process firsthand. Moses is excited to see the African Americans who have been granted the right to vote for the first time in history. However, as they observe the proceedings, they witness many debates and disputes that threaten to derail the ratification process.

Back in Philadelphia, Sarah and Henri meet with Benjamin Franklin to discuss their concerns about the lack of individual rights in the Constitution. Franklin listens to their arguments and agrees that it is an important issue. He says that he will use his influence to push for the addition of a Bill of Rights to the Constitution.

As the ratification process continues, James and Moses witness many debates about the role of the federal government and the rights of the individual states. James is surprised by the heated arguments and the passionate speeches given by the delegates.

Finally, after much debate, the Constitution is ratified by all 13 states. James and Moses rush back to Philadelphia to report the news to their friends. They are greeted with cheers and celebrations as the young patriots realize that their struggle for freedom and equality has been won.

As the episode comes to a close, Franklin appears at the door and announces that the Constitution has been ratified with the addition of a Bill of Rights. Sarah is overjoyed and thanks Franklin for his intervention. The kids join hands and sing "Yankee Doodle", happy in the knowledge that their hard work and determination has paid off.
