Ep 24. With Shyness

As the season finale of To Love-Ru season 1, episode 24, titled "With Shyness," begins, Rito's class is planning a trip to the pool. Although Rito is reluctant to participate due to the fact that he cannot swim, he is persuaded by Mikan, who promises to teach him how to swim. Meanwhile, Lala draws a crowd of fans at the pool with her bright and bold swimsuit while the other girls spend their time relaxing.

As the day goes on, Rito begins to feel more comfortable in the water with Mikan's help, and Haruna encourages him to try pool basketball. While everyone is gone, Yami and Rito have a conversation about their mutual crushes, and Yami reveals that she has feelings for Rito. Yami warns Rito that Lala is a princess from another planet and that their relationship may not be as simple as it seems, making Rito realize that perhaps he needs to think more about his relationship with Lala before he can act on his feelings.

Later that day, Lala invites Rito to her room to thank him for carrying her earlier that day. In her room, Lala reveals that she has started to develop feelings for Rito. However, Lala's alien bear, Pekko, accidentally interrupts them, causing Lala to get embarrassed and run away.

As the episode comes to a close, Haruna and Lala discuss Rito, and Haruna confesses that she has feelings for him. Lala, who is heartbroken by Haruna's confession, decides that she will back off and let Haruna have Rito. However, the episode ends with Rito realizing that he has feelings for both Lala and Haruna and that he needs to decide what his true feelings are.
