Hunted is a drama/thriller movie co-directed by Josh Stewart and Skye Borgman. The film follows Jake (Rory J Saper), a young man who escapes his abusive father, Richard (Tom Carey), and heads to a secluded forest in the Pacific Northwest to start a new life. There, he meets a mysterious woman (Christina Jastrzembska) who teaches him how to survive in the wild.

The movie begins with Jake hiding in a dark alley, his father's men chasing him. In a moment of desperation, Jake manages to escape, and he soon arrives at a small town near the forest. There, he meets a bartender named Brandon, who offers him a job and a place to stay. Jake is hesitant at first, but he desperately needs to start over, so he accepts the offer.

Soon after, Jake discovers a flyer advertising survival classes in the nearby forest. Without hesitation, he signs up, eager to learn how to live off the land. There, he meets the mysterious woman, who slowly teaches him how to fish, forage, and make a shelter.

As Jake spends more time with the woman, he begins to trust her, and they form a close relationship. Meanwhile, his father sends his men to find him, and they arrive at the town, causing chaos and destruction. Jake realizes that he can never go back, and he must continue to learn how to survive in the wild.

The movie is a slow build, with stunning scenery of the forest and the surrounding areas. The tension gradually increases as Jake learns more and more about living in the wild and realizes the danger he is in. The woman is a complex character, and we never truly know her motives or identity. She is both Jake's mentor and protector, and he relies on her to survive.

Rory J Saper delivers a convincing performance as the young man trying to make a new life for himself. His character is sympathetic, and we feel his pain and uncertainty as he struggles to survive. Christina Jastrzembska is also excellent as the mysterious woman, providing just enough information to keep the audience guessing.

The movie touches on themes of abuse, survival, and the desire to start over. Jake is clearly trying to escape his past, but the shadow of his father looms large over him. The woman's role in his life is both therapeutic and dangerous, and we see Jake transform from a scared and uncertain young man to a confident and strong survivor.

The direction and cinematography are excellent, and the movie is beautifully shot. The forest and surrounding areas provide a stunning backdrop for the action, and the score perfectly matches the mood of the film.

The ending is unexpected, leaving the audience with a sense of unease and uncertainty. The movie doesn't provide any easy answers or resolutions, and we are left to ponder the implications of the events that have transpired.

Overall, Hunted is a gripping and atmospheric thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The performances are excellent, the direction is top-notch, and the story is both heartfelt and terrifying. It's a must-see for anyone who enjoys a good survival story or psychological drama.

Hunted is a 2013 horror movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2.
