In this comedic drama, middle-class American couples lie and cheat as they try to find happiness. Jerry, a married drama teacher, asks Mary, an unfulfilled woman who is also married out on a date. She accepts, and the two begin a brief fling that has a negative snowball affect on the lives of not only their spouses but everyone in their inner circle. It soon becomes apparent that Jerry and Mary are not the only cheating couple.
