Benedict Arnold is the thirty-second episode of the first season of Liberty's Kids, The Complete Series. In this episode, the focus is on one of the most infamous traitors in American history, Benedict Arnold.

As the episode begins, the young reporters Sarah, James, and Henri are in New York City, where they are covering the war for their newspaper, The Liberty Tree. They are excited to learn that General Arnold has just taken command of the city's defenses, and they set out to interview him about his plans and strategy.

However, their excitement turns to dismay when they discover that Arnold is not the hero they expected him to be. Instead, he is arrogant and dismissive of their questions, and they soon learn that he is also corrupt and greedy. He demands bribes and favors from local merchants in exchange for their contracts to supply the army, and he embezzles funds intended for the soldiers' supplies.

The reporters are shocked by Arnold's behavior, but they feel powerless to do anything about it. They fear that if they report his misconduct, they will be accused of treason or endanger the safety of their Patriot allies.

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, George Washington is also struggling with the fallout from Arnold's actions. He is outraged by the corruption and bribery he is hearing about, but he is also aware that Arnold is a skilled and experienced general who is vital to the war effort. He must decide whether to confront Arnold and risk losing him as an ally, or to tolerate his misconduct and risk the damage it could do to the fledgling American army.

As the episode progresses, Sarah, James, and Henri continue to investigate Arnold's activities, determined to expose the truth to the public. They uncover evidence of his wrongdoing, and they try to bring their findings to Washington's attention. However, their efforts are thwarted at every turn, and they begin to question whether they will ever be able to make a difference.

The tension between Arnold and Washington also comes to a head, as Washington confronts Arnold about his misconduct and demands that he turn over the evidence of his corruption. Arnold responds with anger and resentment, accusing Washington of not appreciating his contributions to the war effort and of treachery. He threatens to switch sides and join the British, setting the stage for one of the most infamous betrayals in American history.

As the episode draws to a close, the reporters are left to contemplate the consequences of Arnold's actions and the difficult choices faced by both Washington and the American people. They realize that the fight for freedom is not just about battles and victories, but also about the moral and ethical challenges that arise along the way. They vow to continue their quest for the truth, and to never forget the sacrifices made by those who fought for liberty and justice.
