This Japanese anime series, based directly upon the popular manga works of Ken Kitashiba and Yasuhiro Watanabe, follows the exploits of loose-cannon political investigator, Zaizen Jotaro. In Jotaro's world, an economically wasted Japan, graft and politics are synonymous, crime runs rampant and the rich line their pockets with money pilfered from those too weak or frightened to fight back. This evil takes its most concentrated form in the persona of Keiichi Suzuki, leader of the sinister Ōshika Construction who strikes a dirty deal with parliament for illegal expansions. With no one to stop Suzuki, a select group of individuals with private grievances against the Oshika Company employ Jotaro and task him with unraveling their twisted schemes.
