On Everyday Italian, Giada de Laurentiis takes viewers on a tour of Italy's culinary legacy through updated takes on classic cuisine from the Mediterranean and her own family recipes. De Laurentiis' family and friends are frequent guests on the show, from Aunt Raffy sharing the family recipe for Chestnut Stuffing in the kitchen, to Giada's siblings awaiting dinner on the patio, one feels almost a part of the family as anecdotes are shared and wineglasses clink. In each episode, an entire meal is prepared, including at least one entree, a side dish and frequently a decadent dessert.

Menus are created for a variety of occasions--picnics, parties, brunch, casual dinners and more. The focus remains on creating meals that are flavorful, satisfying and delicious, using fresh ingredients to maximize nutrition. The cooking process is broken down so as to be easy to follow, easily engaging the viewer in the enjoyment of Italian cooking.
