Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation- Season 1 Episode 1 Bone 1: Bone-Loving Princess

In the first episode of Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-, viewers are introduced to the titular character, Sakurako Kujō, a beautiful and eccentric woman with a passion for bones. Sakurako lives alone in a large mansion, surrounded by her vast collection of bones, which she obsessively studies and catalogues.

Excited by the prospect of a new bone to add to her collection, Sakurako agrees to meet him and take a look at the bone.

Upon arriving at the woods, Sakurako and Shōtarō discover that the bone in question is actually a human skull. Despite the macabre nature of the discovery, Sakurako seems thrilled at the idea of being able to solve the mystery of how the skull ended up in the forest. Shōtarō, on the other hand, is understandably nervous and overwhelmed by the situation.

As Sakurako examines the skull, she notices several anomalies that pique her interest. She notes that the skull is missing its mandible and the temporal bone on the left side is fractured. She also comments on the presence of diastema, or gaps between the teeth, which suggest that this person was not from Japan.

Sakurako and Shōtarō begin to piece together the clues, theorizing that the skull could belong to a missing person or possibly even a murder victim. Sakurako's knowledge of bones is impressive, and she is able to identify the sex of the victim and even narrow down the age range based on the state of the skull.

Despite Shōtarō's initial trepidation, he becomes increasingly fascinated by Sakurako's deductive skills and her passion for bones. He eagerly assists her in examining the skull and collecting additional evidence from the surrounding area. As they work together, a hint of chemistry begins to develop between the two.

As the episode draws to a close, Sakurako and Shōtarō find themselves at a dead end. They are unable to determine the identity of the victim or the circumstances surrounding their death. Despite this setback, Sakurako seems invigorated by the challenge and hints that she is eager to uncover the truth.
