Sakurako and Shoutarou are back again with another intriguing mystery to solve in episode 2 of Beautiful Bones - Sakurako's Investigation. The episode titled "E 2" follows our duo's investigation into the suspicious death of a woman named Yuriko.
Yuriko's husband, Mr. Kashiwagi, claims that she died from a fall down the stairs, but something about the crime scene doesn't sit right with Sakurako. As usual, she uses her vast knowledge of bones to analyze the evidence and uncover inconsistencies in Mr. Kashiwagi's story.
Throughout the episode, Sakurako and Shoutarou interview witnesses and examine the crime scene to piece together what really happened to Yuriko. They discover that Yuriko had been in an unhappy marriage and was planning on leaving her husband. They also learn that Yuriko's sister had warned her about Mr. Kashiwagi's violent tendencies.
As their investigation progresses, Sakurako starts to suspect that Mr. Kashiwagi may have pushed Yuriko down the stairs. She finds a mysterious bone fragment that doesn't belong to Yuriko and believes it could be a key piece of evidence in the case. However, Mr. Kashiwagi becomes increasingly hostile towards Sakurako and refuses to cooperate with the investigation.
Determined to uncover the truth, Sakurako and Shoutarou continue to dig deeper into the case. They consult with a forensic specialist who confirms Sakurako's suspicion that Yuriko was pushed. More evidence surfaces, including an anonymous letter sent to Yuriko warning her about her husband.
In the climactic conclusion of the episode, Sakurako and Shoutarou confront Mr. Kashiwagi with their evidence and he finally confesses to pushing Yuriko down the stairs. The tragic truth is revealed - Yuriko's sister had known all along about Mr. Kashiwagi's violent tendencies, but had been too afraid to speak up.
As usual, Sakurako's vast knowledge of bones and her determination to uncover the truth lead to the resolution of this tragic case. The episode ends with her reflecting on the fragility of life and the importance of helping those who are suffering in silence.
