Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation- Season 1 Episode 3 E 3

In episode 3 of Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-, titled E 3, we see the main protagonist, Sakurako Kujo, teaming up with Shoutarou Tatewaki, her teenage assistant, to solve yet another mystery. The episode begins with Sakurako visiting a flower shop in order to purchase flowers for a memorial service. While selecting flowers, she notices a strange odor coming from the back of the shop. Upon further investigation, she discovers the decomposed body of a young woman hidden behind a stack of crates.

Sakurako and Shoutarou immediately begin their investigation, questioning the flower shop owner and a nearby store owner. The store owner tells them about a suspicious man who had been seen around the area, leading Sakurako to believe that the man may be the culprit. However, they soon realize that the case is not as simple as it seems, as they discover that the victim had a history of mental illness and had been missing for several months.

The duo visits the victim's home and speak to her parents, who tell them about their daughter's mental illness and how it had affected her behavior. While searching her room, they discover several clues that could help them in their investigation, including a diary and a prescription bottle. They also find a strange piece of paper with a mysterious series of letters and numbers written on it.

Sakurako and Shoutarou then visit the victim's mental health clinic in the hopes of finding more information about her condition. They learn that the victim had been receiving treatment for schizophrenia and was being prescribed a medication that had potentially dangerous side effects. While at the clinic, the duo also speaks to the victim's doctor, who tells them about a recent incident where the victim had been hospitalized after attempting to harm herself.

As the investigation continues, Sakurako and Shoutarou begin to piece together the events that led to the victim's death. They discover that the victim had been involved in a dangerous game called "The Russian Roulette of Memories", a game where players temporarily erase their memory and attempt to uncover hidden memories by solving puzzles and completing challenges. The mysterious paper they found earlier turns out to be a list of clues for this game.

Through a series of flashbacks, we see the victim along with four other players, including the man who had been seen around the flower shop, playing the game in an abandoned building. The game quickly turns dangerous when the victim falls and hits her head, causing her to forget the rules of the game. She is then blamed for errors made by the other players, leading to a violent altercation that ultimately leads to her death.

In the end, Sakurako and Shoutarou discover the truth behind the victim's death and bring the culprit to justice. As the episode comes to a close, we see Sakurako placing flowers on the victim's grave as a sign of respect for the young woman whose life was cut tragically short.
