Since 1961, the human rights organization Amnesty International has been assisting individuals all over the world to ensure they have rights. This organization helps people globally to fight any injustice they encounter as well as promote all human rights. Now this well-known organization has produced an on-line television network series called Amnesty TV.

The producers of Amnesty TV have worked on such TV shows such as The Inbetweeners (about trying to getting through life as a teenager) and the comedy Newswipe. These producers have created Amnesty TV which delivers an on-line, magazine style show lasting 15-minutes. This series combines political satire with documentaries and news about human rights stories from around the globe.

Some of the topics covered are items that range from the various men’s hairstyles which are approved by the Iranian government to informing of how long it will take for women to receive equal pay. Another memorable feature was when Amnesty TV looked at Wikipedia creator Jimmy Wales who spoke about freedom of the Internet in front of a group of children who made a picture collage depicting censorship in China.

Amnesty TV’s goal is to unite individuals while holding onto a firm belief that as a group, people can actually create positive changes globally. Producers hope that eventually Amnesty TV usage of blending entertainment and inspiration will assist individuals in becoming supporters of human rights and freedom in the future.
