Watch TV Shows on Anima 3

Anima 3 is a production company based in Tokyo, Japan. It provides content centered around cartoon and animation in the forms of television series and short films. The company was founded in 1991 when Miramoto Yusaki decided that a new market should be formed with animation that didn't include traditional comics. By exploring new themes, the channel has grown a group of loyal viewers and successfully produced spinoff manga and anime series.

Its productions can be viewed on channel 6 in Tokyo, though international television channels do not license or carry Anima 3's shows. However, with an internet connection, anyone can access the archive of Anima 3's content for the past 3 years without a fee or membership. Anything older than 3 years requires a monthly membership fee.

Anima 3 was acquired by Yokomata Holdings International (YHI) in 2003, and now focuses on television series as its main digital media offering. The content includes such shows as Samurai Showdown, Akira's Revival, and Officer Datsu Noto.

Samurai Showdown, in particular, has garnered international attention from countries such as Finland, Portugal, and Canada as a cult classic that breaks down boundaries. It is known for its comedic lines, tricky plot lines, fantastic design and graphics, and visual style that represents traditional zen art in the spiritual circles of Japan.

Anima 3 has announced that it will produce a third season of Officer Datsu Noto starting in January, 2016. A live event will be broadcast from its headquarters prior to the first airing.
