The ASPiRE television network celebrates the width and breadth of the African American experience. Created by former NBA star Earvin "Magic" Johnson in 2012, the channel's goal is to provide opportunities for new voices to be heard and present new visions through the next generation of ground-breakers and game-changers in the African American community.

ASPiRE's tag line is "Different starts now," a phrase that is reflected in the wide variety of programming available on the channel. The goal at the network is to deliver enlightening and positive programming for African-American families that is also entertaining. Forms are diverse and include movies, short films, documentaries, comedy, music and visual arts, along with inspiration and faith-based programming. Programming also has an emphasis on heritage and cultural achievements of the African-American community.
