Australian Food TV is a media channel based in Sydney, Australia. It provides content surrounding Food, cooking, entertaining, and more. It is known as the "Food Network" of Australia, a reference to the American channel that was received international acclaim.

Australian Food TV was founded in 2001 by a group of chefs, food critics, and network executives that wanted to bring better food programming to the country of Australia. Originally, the channel only featured one chef and one show, called "Cooking with Andy." As the show received success and viewer praise, the network decided to expand its offerings to include a variety of formats, not just traditional cooking shows. Now, the channel features competitions in which ordinary citizens can compete to cook a random dish in front of a panel of judges for the opportunity to win a prize of $10,000. If the contestants lose, they still have the opportunity to play in further challenges put on by the network.

There are about 2 million global viewers of Australian Food TV, and there are slated to be more in 2016. The offerings of this channel are available on cable television in the country of Australia and online from any internet connected computer.

New shows that the network is planning on producing include a travel show called Muriel's Travels, a competition show called Cutthroat Barbeque, and an educational series called Cooking with Marcus.

The channel received numerous awards at the Australian Food Academy Ceremony, including "Best in Show" and "Healthiest Ingredients."
