Watch TV Shows on Central Park Media Corporation

Central Park Media was an American distribution company that operated from 1990 until their bankruptcy in 2009. They specialized in the US distribution of East Asian entertainment. They were known for the licensing of Asian television, movies, anime, manga and manhwa or Korean manga. They have been credited with popularizing anime in the American markets.

Their first successes came with the distribution of two anime programs, “Project A-ko” and “Dominion: Tank Police.” These successes coupled with the growing home video demands led them to being one of the innovators selling video series box sets. Later they would also lead the way into online streaming video content.

There licensed properties were managed by different divisions under the CPM name. Software Sculptors was one such division that was responsible for anime related software such as screensavers and anime released on CD-ROM. Binary Media Works operated as a division of CPM that managed a website for anime fandom and another dedicated to UFO believers and enthusiasts. Other divisions such as Anime 18 and Asia Pulp Cinema were used for the distribution of animated and live action adult and pornographic shows and films. Their first division and the one they are most remembered for was US Manga Corps, their US distribution arm for most of their anime properties.
