The High Fidelity, HDTV Media Inc channel is a Canadian network that broadcast from Toronto Canada, and specialized in HD content. It was originally launched as an independent network. The company originally broadcast four channels, but was to expand the network. Other channels were proposed, such as Centre Stage HD, Aqua HD, Clash HD, Eureka! HD, Crafts & Hobbies HD, Horror HD, GameWorld HD, Seniors Life HD, Women's Sports HD, & W HD.
High Fidelity expanded to enter deals with other major networks, such as IMAX. This gave High Fidelity access to original feature films. It also had deals with Smithsonian and Off The Fence. Agreements with Off The Fence allowed High Fidelity to distribute Off The Fence nonfiction content, and Smithsonian agreements gave High Fidelity rights to distribute original Smithsonian content.
High Fidelity channels are now owned by Blue Ant Media, who broadcasts four previously owned High Fidelity channels. They include RADX, EQHD, Oasis HD, and HIFI. RADX is an action, adventure channel, which originally broadcast programming related to extreme sports. It now broadcasts action related feature films, shows and series related to outdoor living, travel and other programming geared to toward the interests of men. EQHD highlighted people and places, and has currently been relaunched as the Smithsonian Channel. Oasis TV broadcasts nature programming, and has since been re-branded as the Love Channel. it is broadcast in 4K Ultra HD. HIFI broadcasts programming related to arts and culture, music, and live performances. The other proposed channels by High Fidelity were not launched by Blue Ant.
