Watch TV Shows on Kansai TV

The Kansai Telecasting Corporation owns Kansai TV. It serves the greater Kansai region in Japan. The station is affiliated with the Fuji News Network and Fuji Network Systems, which both help to provide informational and news programs to the channel.

News is a mainstay on the network. KTV News updates viewers every Sunday morning, and broadcasts from the same show are delivered in six-minute intervals on a daily basis. FNN Supernews Anchor and FNN Supernews WEEKEND provide news broadcasts in the evening, and these two shows are closer to what other channels might show in those timeslots.

Informational broadcasting is divided into four different segments. Ready Go, Happiness is on its way, Niji Iro Jean and Momoko no Oh Sore Miyo all provide education content to viewers of the channel. The affiliate networks provide these segments, which help to fulfill broadcast requirements for educational television.

Entertainment programs have always been popular on the channel, and Great Teacher Onizuka was probably the most popular one in the past. The 12-part series was adapted from the manga by Fujisawa Tooru. Ghostly Girl has attracted quite a bit of attention in recent years, but the network also likes to play some older content in reruns. The Team Batista series actually garnered attention nationwide.

Diamond Cup series golf events are shown on the channel during the season. Professional baseball is also quite popular. Hanshin Tigers and Orix Buffaloes games are broadcast whenever the teams are playing. These tend to bring in extremely strong ratings for the network.
