The Korean Broadcasting System has been the national broadcaster of South Korea over a number of platforms, including radio, TV and Online. Over the course of its lifespan the Korean Broadcasting System has moved from radio broadcasting that began in 1927 before the transition to TV broadcasting began in 1961. In the 21st century KBS has become a multi media giant in South Korea that broadcasts a large number of different channels alongside the major network channel that is one of the most popular in the country.
One of the major areas that KBS has seen a large amount of audience share is with the broadcast of various drama series at different times of the year in a four nightly slot. The main dramas that have been broadcast by the Korean Broadcast System that was responsible for the hugely successful Endless Love series of dramas that has included four different installments of the series. Because of its position as a public broadcaster the Korean Broadcasting System is also responsible for a series of documentaries, which have included the Insight on Asia series and the epic Story of Korean History. KBS also includes a series of game shows and entertainment series that include the globally famous 1 vs 100 show and the game centered show Star Golden Bell.
