Watch TV Shows on TVGN

The TV Guide Network Channel (TVGN) is getting a new make over and a new name. The Channel, which is owned jointly by CBS Corporation and Lionsgate have agreed to relaunch the TVGN Network under the new brand "POP." The channel's broadcast programming content will focus on "fandom" content which includes shows with a large fan following in the demographic of 18-35, with much of this content being various syndicated programming.

The channel is targeting the early part of 2015 for its programming rollout. The channel will have a combined amount of over 400 programming hours of both new projects and shows such as "New Kids on the Block," "Rock the Boat" and "The Story Behind, Big Brother: After Dark" and familiar syndication programming including "7th Heaven", "Fame", "Dallas" and "Beverly Hills 90210."

Many of these shows have a strong tie to pop culture and have become part of the demographic group's lexicon. The target audience is well within advertisers main demographic pool of being 18-49 with the core group being in the mid twenties.

This age range not only are the core following of this type of programming but the core also follows the trends in music, fashion, style and taste that is evident in the programming that the channel will broadcast.

The channel is not yet sure if it will produce an entertainment news show or an after hours entertainment news program. The assessment by the channel will be made after the initial rollout of programming and the response in the ratings.
