MBN is a media channel based in the town of Milner, Texas. It was started in 1974 by an oil heir who used her money to purchase the rights of licensing many popular television shows at the time. As the popularity of the channel increased, it expanded its offerings to include market segments in other parts of the United States. In 2003, it announced that it would open its content to distribution channels like the internet, as digital formats were increasingly common. Jesse Hammond was the founder and recently sold the company to Fox.

Now, the media channel focuses on its main titles which include shows like Chief Sam, Wild and Wet, and Texas Technology. Chief Sam is a show that features a young chemist named Sam. He is not the king of the world, but he feels like he is after he is promoted to a special division within his company. He soon finds out that his office is actually a branch of the CIA and that he is being briefed on a top secret mission in a few days. The series proceeds to document his dramatic discoveries based on his new knowledge. Wild and Wet is based out of Houston and documents the lives of professional water ski trainers. They are the world's most popular ski coaches because they have led many teams to win medals in various competitions. The Houston populace has been known to applaud the episodes and celebrate local heroes after the showing of various shows.
