TV Asahi is a Japanese television network that was originally founded on November 1, 1957. It's located in the Roppongi Rokuchome area of Minato in Tokyo, and it serves the greater Kanto district. The channel is associated with the All-Nippon News Network, and the two firms are owned by the same parent company.

ANN News is broadcast on the TV Asahi channel several times a day, though the exact times vary based on the time of year. The channel also features a number of morning and evening news shows that are produced independent of ANN programming.

Professional wrestling is extremely popular on TV Asahi, and the channel has a close relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The network has the rights to show two different NJPW broadcasts.

The company recently started to show Formula E electric car races. These races are broadcast during the season, and other informational racing programming is put into the timeslots when Formula E is out of season. These sports broadcasts are in addition to their regularly scheduled dramatic programming.

Maison Ikkoku received a live action adaptation that was originally broadcast on the channel in 2007. The channel continues to show new episodes of Doraemon, which it originally picked up back in 1979. Kamen Rider, Crayon Shin-chan, Saint Seiya Omega and Area 88 are still in fairly heavy rotation on TV Asahi.

Tenjho Tenge, based on the manga by Ougure Ito, has been one of the more popular shows on the channel. It should continue to attract attention despite being in reruns for quite some time.
