Sprout is an American based digital cable and satellite television channel. The channel is owned and operated by NBC Universal and its subsidiaries. Sprout replaced PBS Kids for a few of the cable and satellite companies throughout the United States. Sprout acquired many of their shows from the Public Broadcasting Service most commonly known as PBS. The channel also offers many original programs that are shown exclusively on the Sprout channel.
